Hakaniemenranta Urban Plan
Competition Entry for an urban plan for the Hakaniemi Beach area of Helsinki. Our proposal was undertaken in collaboration with fellow architect Dan Cutter, environmental engineer Ben Fox and Aaron Marubbi of Marubbi Landscape.

Our scheme proposes 80,000m2 new housing, 3000m2 live/work units, 5000m2 affordable workspace and 3000m2 cultural provision. The scheme aims to reactivate the harbourside and city quarter to the north through a series of live/work, industrial and public maker-spaces influenced by the area’s industrial heritage.
